This is usually the result of the radio having one or more settings that are out-of-range (which trips up CHIRP). Usually the debug.log file can be used to determine which setting(s) are misbehaving. However it would be more convenient if you would attach a freshly downloaded CHIRP Radio Images (*.img) file from your radio.
