Bug #4757
closedChirp crashes on upload to Yaesu VX5 and Yaesu VX7 via USB-Serial-Cable
0%
Description
Anytime I try to upload an image (.vx5 .vx7) to one of my radios, either Yaesu VX5 or Yaesu VX7 chirp crashes after approximately 60% of progression. The radio shows "clone RX" and after 60% the blue progression indicator freezes and the radio shows "clone error". In fact the whole system freezes and demands for a forced shutdown/restart. Downloading from the radios to chirp is not a problem at all and works totally fine though.
I use a USB-serial programming cable from Maxton: http://www.maxton-corp.com/EN/Detailed.aspx?id=51&hid=2 which uses the profilic chip.
My Laptop is a MacBook Pro (mid 2009), and operating system is OSX 10.11.6
Debug log attached. Help very much appreciated.
Regards,
Chris.

Lost my patience, bought another USB-serial adapter. This time with the FTDI chipset. Works perfectly now.
Cheers.

- Status changed from New to Rejected
Bug caused by USB driver, not Chirp.

Never wrote that the bug was 'caused' by Chirp. Just described it.
