Hi Trent,

The US2S25 firmware is special firmware for a variant of the Baofeng/Pofung UV-82, the UV-82C, which is exclusive to BaofengTech. Support for the UV-82C (including the US2S25 firmware) was added to the daily builds in May of 2014.

The current CHIRP Stable Version (v0.4.1) that you are using, even though it was released in October, only contains bug fixes and new features up through April of 2014. So it does not have support for the UV-82C.

To program a UV-82C with CHIRP, you must use a daily build (see the list of "Supported Radio Models":http://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Home on the CHIRP "home" page).
