closedBaofeng - Chirp daily-20150615 error message - Incorrect "Model"select

dear all,
i buy 2 baofeng uv-5r before a mounth.
they are with straight serial numbers. ( 13U1005154 and 13U1005160 )
second one doesn't have problems to work with chirp. she is with N5R2401 BFB297
but for the first one i can't get info from noware.
when i try to connect with chirp i get error msg Incorrect "Model"select
when i try to upload to radio saved info from the second radio i have other error message because firmware version doesnt match ( debug log file 2 ) i create and .jpg with error.
can you help me, and what can i do to read from radio ?

now i download and install lastest daily build ( chirp-daily-20150616 )
and the problem is the same.
i upload and new debug.log file.

Hi Adrian,
You radio does not have a firmware version for CHIRP to detect it with.
INFO: Radio Version is '\xff\xff\xff\xff\xff\xff\xff\xff\xff\xff\xff\xff\xff\xff'
It should look something like this:
INFO: Radio Version is 'N5R2401 BFB297'
Apparently there were a few radios that left the factory with this issue. Without this data available, I'm not sure what could be done.

Hi Jim,
when i turn of the radio, push 6 and power on = 150110N
when i turn of the radio, push 3 and power on = BFB297
try with 3 buttons in same time and power on = nohting
try with original baofeng software, its work but no info for software

2 radios are with same serial numbers, i think radio version is the same like my other radio N5R2401 BFB297
but why shirp dont recognize radio or why radio report that radio version i dont know.
if i try to change model on radio did he can read radio version correctly ?

Adrian,
The radio doesn't work because the data area that CHIRP uses to distinguish between firmware versions is blank, just like shown above. Without this info, CHIRP can't separate your radio from any other radio with that same size of image file. Sorry.
