Sorry, but being able to sign our windows app is not a thing we'll likely ever be able to do. It costs money every year and adds quite a bit of additional complication to our build and maintenance process.

This issue (unsigned installs /programs) can be addressed in couple ways. With the Windows 10 UAC control, and directly in the properties of the executable. I won't post links, do a little searching searching.

Personally I prefer Lubuntu, lightweight and reliable, runs on old hardware, doesn't care about fake chips on serial adaptors like Windows.
