Description
Hi I ordered a Quansheng tg-uv2. Would it be possible to implement this HT in CHIRP as well ?
It would make me and a lot of other HAM amateurs very happy.
Tnx in advance.

I'd be willing to do an equipment loan for this. There was a vendor who flogged these heavily at the Southeastern hamfests up until last year. I know I'm not the only owner of this BaoFeng clone.
I also have some serial traffic dumps of the manufacturer's app talking to the TG-UV2 if they would be more helpful. I'm not a programmer, but I can do bin-hex-dec conversions.

Hello,
I saw in another issue that you did not have enough requests for this model of radio. Well I have a Quansheng that I would like to request support. The Quansheng software is the pits and would rather use Chirp.
Thank You

- Equipment Loan/Gift Offered changed from No to Yes
Hi to all the watchers of this issue.
The process of getting a radio supported by Chirp is not like having many request for that radio.
It's more like a user announce he can loan/borrow/gift his radio (like Chris Hunter just do above) and a developers accept the challenge. You have 50% of the travel now, all is up to the developers to pick up this issue and make it a happy ending story.
Remember that developers works on Chirp on his free time and you can get this issue stalled by a while... that's normal.

Hello, I wanted to also encourage the developer(s) to consider adding Quansheng TG-UV2 support to CHIRP. This HT was very popular a few years ago, and several pilots in my paragliding community purchased them (I own two). Thank you for sharing CHIRP with world.

Please add support for this radio to CHIRP. I'm using TG-UV2 for over 5 years now. For me it is one of the best models (very solid mechanical contruction :-) ). But always was problem with programming software from Quansheng and now it doesn't star under Win10 64b.
Thank You.
