Why doesn't and when will Chirp work with my new Baofeng BF-F9V2+ hand held radio?
Chirp doesn't work, the software that came with the connection cable is all PC (N0 Mac OS) softarde and no atter how many times you update a new load of the Chirp software it still doesn't work with the Baofeng BF-F9V2+ and nobody at Baofeng or Chirp seem to care one way or another.......

Randall....did you by chance choose BF-F8HP as your radio choice? That's the choice I used to make my BF-F9V2+ with firmware ending in .....25

The BF-F9V2+ has always been supported by CHIRP
From the Supported Models List on the CHIRP Home/Wiki page
- BF-F8HP (3 power levels) Also includes the BF-F9V2+ <-- this is your radio Also includes the GT-3TP Also includes the UV-5R PLUS Also includes the UV-5RHP Also includes the UV-5RTP Also includes the UV-5R7W
That being said, Baofeng has been shipping radios with 3 power levels with a firmware version (HN5RV01) that has traditionally indicated that it is a radio with 2 power levels. For those radios you must choose UV-5R until a workable solution is found.

But the truth of the matter is i have gone through all of the Baofeng pull down menus and none of them work with the Baofeng BF-F9 V2+ Radio.
The fact is simple. At this time the Baofeng BF-F9 V2+ Radio and Chirp do not work together, there is no software solution for the Baofeng BF-F9 V2+ Radio.
I am hoping that somebody soon will update the softare baofen/chirp/whoever so the Baofeng BF-F9 V2+ Radio will in fact work with Chirp.
If you do in fact get the Baofeng BF-F9 V2+ Radio to work with Chirp pleasemake a detailed youtube video and send me the link A.S.A.P.

They do work together. You haven't provided the error message or debug.log. The most likely problem is that you do not have a properly working programming cable. Don't hook up the cable and try it. I'll bet the error is the same.

Randall, what is the chirp-daily version you are using?
What is the serial number of the radio?
Instead of sending attachments of a selfie with a radio, can you send screenshots of the error displayed?
How about version of the OS you are using and the driver version being used?
-Windows has some issues (especially with the Chinese versions of the cables, you need to downgrade your driver to another level to make them work)
-Linux seems to have no problems detecting at all kernel levels I've played with from 14.04 on up to 16.04 for linux. So kernel versions 4+ seem to have no real issues with the specific programming cable involved.
I've been able to program my BF-F9 V2+ from both Linux and Windows, so I know chirp works fine, but you need to provide additional background information. Especially any log files if they exist.
Also within your hardware manager (if windows), what COM port does the programming cable use? Or does it pop up with the yellow triangle indicating a hardware/driver related problem which is not Chirp.
If Linux what does the output of 'dmesg' show after you plug in the cable? I think this would be the same for MacOS-X since it is also a *nix based system.
Also another thing to check is if your cable is not fully seated, (had that issue with a Wouxun KG-UV6D when the connectors inside got misaligned from stressing from a few drops and the speaker-mic cable retained it from impact)
