I read the instructions above:
Description
Hello;
I have this error "Error reporting is enabled, If you wish to disable this feature you may do so in the Help menú".
I used the program before but now it will not let me open it. I am using the latest version, could you correct this error?.
Best regards

David,
This message appears the first time a new installation of CHIRP is launched. It is not an error message. It should not be interpreted as "Error: reporting is enabled". Its meaning is "Error reporting", as in the reporting of errors, "is enabled". The purpose of this message is to let the user know that CHIRP is, by default, set to "phone home" when an error is encountered and to let the user know that this behavior can be disabled in the Help menu.
Once you click [Ok] to continue, the chirp.config will store that the user has seen this message and this message will not be displayed again.

Okay, but the program does not start in any way.
My name is
Windows user is Sánchez.
Is it because of this then? I did not want to format my PC to change the username. Is it possible to correct this in future updates?
Best regards
Yes, this is likely the issue as documented in #272. One idea short of formatting your PC is to create a second user. Call this user something like "chirp" so that it has no special characters. Then logout of Sánchez and login as chirp any time you want to use Chirp.
Chirp fundamentally supports unicode, so we are not sure what to do to fix this bug.

I'm having the same problem, did creating a new user help?
Thanks
