I read the instructions above:
Description
I have a couple of the Boafeng GT-5TP radios.
I can program one with Chirp the other one I get an error messages.
All radios show N82301, and 160408N.
I am hoping this information may be of use and help figure out what the programing issues may be.
Hopefully it will be an easy fix, or at least figure out why the it works with one and not the other.
Thanks.

Mike,
This is a common problem. There are a batch of GT-5TP radios that require the UV-82HP magic to initiate the cloning operation (as it should), but then its reply back to CHIRP identifies it as being a UV-5R style radio.
