Description

in Line 2.

1st bug: I changed the Welcome Message to Line 1: Hi, Line2: Peter. After uploading to the radio, I downloaded again to check whether the settings were accepted. That was not the case. It was again Welcome in Line 1 and not Hi in Line 1 and Peter in line 2.
2nd bug: I changed the squelch level under Service Settings because the original settings were too sensitive and spaced too narrowly. After uploading to the radio, I downloaded again to check whether the settings were applied. That was again not the case.
The old squelch levels were again under Service Settings. With the Baofeng GT-3TP I can easily change the welcome message and the squelch level with the Chirp program. Please have a look. The GT-3TP also works.

Hi Peter,

Unfortunately this is due to a change in the radio, not a CHIRP bug. The "welcome message" and "squelch threshold" settings require access to the "aux memory" area of the radio. The early radio models supported this, therefor these settings were added. The newer radios no longer provide CHIRP access to the "aux memory" area so these settings cannot be updated.
