Description

I'm trying to add names to my channel slots, but chirp only lets 6 characters to be saved in a slot. The UV-9R has room for 7 characters total.

I used the BF-A58 and the UV-82WP drivers to program the radio, both have the same result.

I have downloaded the original firmware for the UV-9R using the BF-A58 driver.

If there is anything else you need please let me know.

Hi Marcus,

This is a limitation of the radio and is not unusual for some models. There is nothing CHIRP can to do to force the radio to display the 7th character. Sorry.
