The top (A) display line and bottom (B) display line utilize the same 128 memories. It is impossible to make a change to the memory channels and not affect both display lines the same.

What I believe you are missing is that the A and B display lines are independent. You select the display line that you are managing by tapping the [EXIT A/B] key. The cursor (black triangle to the left) moves up or down to indicate the currently selected display line. Pressing the [^] or [v] arrow keys only moves through the channels of the selected display line. You must toggle to the other display line to move through its equivalent set of channels. To see what I mean, watch the small channel numbers to the right change as you scroll through either display line.

There is no way to link the two display lines to have them automatically sync the two display lines to the same channel. If you want them the same, you must select the same channel in both display lines.
