Description
Would love to be able to program a set of Baofeng BF-S5Plus radios with CHIRP or if you have any info on how to program them I would appreciate it. I have seen some info online that this may be an Alinco radio that's been branded with Baofeng. Does anyone there know anything about these? There is very little documentation on them online.

You should ask questions in the CHIRP mailing list. The Baofeng BF-S5 Plus appears to be another UV-82 variant. I would try UV-82 or GT-3WP as the model.

I have a couple of these radios. They're definitely Baofeng, Tri-Band 5 watt radios. Most everything seems to program with the UV5R or UV-82, but it can't program/upload the 220mhz band frequency slots. Using a standard FTDI cable, or Beofeng's cable, chirp will talk to it, on either model type. I might be willing to loan one of these radios to the developers to build a full spec to program it.
Decent radio for Baofeng, and tri-band w/ dual watch for $30.

You have to choose a model with support for 3 bands. For example if the UV-5R (2 band) selection works, then for 3 band support choose the Radioddity UV-5RX3. If the UV-82 (2 band) selection work, then for 3 band support choose the Radioddity UV-82X3.

I just tried with those profiles/specs, and it says "radio did not respond".
Currently using the BF-F8HP (because I thought it supported tri-bands).

The BF-S5 Plus was added to the "Supported Radio Models":https://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Supported_Radios list. The UV-82III is an alias of the BF-A58S, so that should work, too.
