Description
The CHIRP software does not support "Out of Band" channels. The radio can be "wide banded" to utilise parts of the spectrum outside the amateur bands. But CHIRP does not support it. Can "Wide Band" support be added to CHIRP please?

Chirp supports "wide banded" 778UVs etc, however, chirp respects the band limits set by the radio. Only if you "wide band" the radio, setting it to "Band 3", before you read the image will chirp allow you to program channels in the 400-490MHz and 136-174MHz ranges. Chirp can't "wide band" the radio for you.
If you've already "wide banded" the radio, but you can't program the channels in that range that might be a bug, please could you attach the debug log (see How_To_Report_Issues), and an image read from the radio to this issue.
Cheers

I believe that when you create images before setting the radio to mode 3, CHIRP respects the band limits that were in place when the image was made. Once you've switched the radio to mode 3, all you have to do is download from the radio again to create an image that supports mode 3. I'm pretty sure that is what I had to do with my Retevis RT95 once I made the switch.
