Description
Please add a method of selecting whether the 10 Vgroup and the 10 Mgroup Scanning memories are turned on or off in the programming software for the TS-480HX or SAT models for upload to the radios. Also, the programming software should be able to read these selectors from the radio.
Also, the "VFO Band Edge" area on the Settings tab (meant to be associated with the Vgroup)can be removed, since this information should be able to be read and written from the memory channels 90 through 99 on the memory tab.

There will be no clone-mode driver updates for the TS-480.
Use the live-mode driver instead.

In a word, NO. I believe purpose of this software is to be able to store not only the memories possible to be read, but also as many of the other settings that are allowed by the radio to be read, and then be able to write/load all this information back into the radio. The live-mode doesn't allow you to do this as Chirp stands. Nor does the clone-mode as it stands, but it does do more and one is able to write some memory and setting info back to the radio, but not all the data/settings that it is possible to read and write. Consider the case where one must do a full reset to the radio or if it has to go to the factory to be fixed (and it will be fully reset to factory defaults). The radio will need to be re-setup, and it must be done manually, unless you have a clone mode image which you can just upload to the radio. You are then back in business with the radio set up as it was before the reset. Outside of a reset, I will still want to download all the data (memories and settings) to change them when necessary and then upload it all again. Editing the image on a computer and uploading it to the radio is a lot easier than doing it all manually. What good is it to download the channel memory data into a .csv file in live-mode without being able to upload it back into the radio? And you still wouldn't have a record of the other memories or settings to upload.
Am I missing something here?
Please reconsider this feature request. I think there is even more than this that can be implemented to download/modify/upload all memory and settings (where possible) from/to the radio.
