Error message during installation of new version

Delete file: C:\Program Files (x86)\CHIRP\COPYING
Delete file: C:\Program Files (x86)\CHIRP\lib\gtk-2.0\2.10.0\engines\libwimp.dll
Remove folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\CHIRP\lib\gtk-2.0\2.10.0\engines\

You can't update CHIRP while CHIRP is running. Close CHIRP, then run the CHIRP installer.

That is a valid point but what
I had to end up doing was deleting all existing x86 files first
then installing a new upload

As a part of the upgrade process, CHIRP deletes all of the files from the previous version.

In any case, it is good to see that you have resolved your issue.
