How do you mean? Like most radios, the TX level in the Yaesu FT-65 is a per-channel setting. It is configured in the main Spreadsheet Style Memory Editor in the Power field of each memory row or in the Power setting of Memory Properties editor of an individual memory. It is not configured in a separate Settings menu.

I don't have any Yaesu radios here, but I loaded the Yaesu_FT-65E.img file from the repository, copied memory row 1 to memory rows 2 and 3 and set each row to a TX power level of High, Mid and Low for each memory row, respectively. For good measure I saved the changes and loaded them back into CHIRP and the 3 different TX power level settings were retained.

Unless I am missing something, I think CHIRP and the FT-65 driver support configuring the TX power level as expected.

Jim Tuit Unroe The options you suggest in your previous comments are only configured for the memory mode.

The FT-65E also supports separate power level options in VFO mode (scanning) for VFO-A and VFO-B.

From the manual:

Changing the Transmit Power Level
To change the power level:
1. Press the F key and then press the [P2] key.
• The present TX power output level will appear on the display.
• To adjust the TX power in the Set Mode, press and hold the F key.
Then repeatedly press the [▲] or [▼] key to select Set Mode item “32 TX
PWR” and then press the F key.
2. Press the [▲] or [▼] key to select the desired power output level.
Available selections are “HI ” (5 W), “MID” (2.5 W), and “LOW” (0.5 W).
3. Press the PTT switch to save the new setting and return to normal oper-
ation.
