Features:

- One key copy frequency (Auto frequency capture) without PC programming
- Output Power 10w for some bands ( not for all bands)

Please don't attach copyrighted material to the tracker. Even if it's freely available, we do not have permission to distribute it. I'm sure the manual is find-able if needed, although it is not useful or necessary for a driver.

This Radio is very similar to RT 490. The driver for RT490 develeped by AngelOf9 https://chirp.danplanet.com/attachments/7833) should be very useful in developing the driver for RT 470.

I have both the RT-490 and the RT-470. I worked with Angel09 for the developer plug-in that allows the RT-490 to work with Chirp. I can tell you that the RT-470 and the RT-490 are very different. For one, the chips and circuitry are new creations by the manufacturer Math Mark. Radtel is a partner with Math Mark in China and if you read the publicly available FCC certs for the RT-470, you will see that Radtel and Math Mark are co-submitters. The RT-470 is a great radio and I agree that we should work to have it compatible with Chirp. In order for this to happen, we need a Chirp developer to offer here to do the work. As they did with the RT-490, you can most likely count on our Radtel contact (Kevin Xie, Xiamen Radtel Electronics Co.,Ltd) to provide the necessary sample. Kevin is aware of this chirp thread and he messaged me last night asking if I would assist and of course, I will. I do not have the programming tools and skills to do the programming, but just as I did with Angel09, I can provide plug testing as they progress.

It seems that Radtel RT-470 and Ruyage UV98 are identical radios designed by Math Mark (JJCC). The driver developed for RT-470 might support both of the models. In case of Radtel RT490 and Abbree AR-869 (which are the creations of JJCC too) , the driver worked for both of the radios.

Ruslan was able to arrange to have someone representing Radtel donate a Radtel RT-470 to me to use for CHIRP development. It arrived yesterday (28-Feb-2023). It will be added to my stack of radios waiting to be investigated. Thanks Ruslan and Radtel.

Has anyone measured the TX power output of their radio? The user manual that came with the radio and the one I downloaded from the Radtel website indicates that the radio has 2 TX output power levels (5W/2W). The radio and factory programming software in reality supports 3 TX power output levels (H/M/L). I would be interested in what you have measured from your radio, especially if you have a Radtel RT-470L.
On my RT-470 I measured roughly 10H/8M/4L watts.

According to some reports, this station cannot transmit from 300 to 309 MHz. I wonder if this is true?

According to the ranges listed in Note-1 above and in the User Manual that I downloaded from the Radtel website (which slightly differs from the ranges shown in Note-1 above), those reports would be true.

I meant even if it's a fully open range radio (by desoldering the chip and editing the flash dump manually). Even so, there is no transmission in this section. Quite strange radio behavior

I forgot to mention that you would use Vendor: Radtel and Model: RT-470 to download from your RT-470 like radio variant no matter what the actual Vendor/Model is. The more variants that we can test, the better the support will be.

I am now attaching v0.5 for all to test. It has latest code and should work for both download and upload.
Before trying to do any uploading , be sure to make a fresh download from your radio and save it, unedited, to a CHIRP Radio Images (*.img) file to be kept in a safe place as a back up.
If all goes well, some Settings tabs should be available soon.

This version expands the frequency ranges. The original frequency ranges were set to match those specified in the User Manual. They have been expanded to match the radio's actual as-shipped ranges from the factory.
- 108.000-136.000 MHz
- 136.000-180.000 MHz (was 136.000-174.000 MHz)
- 200.000-260.000 MHz (was 220.000-260.000 MHz)
- 330.000-400.000 MHz (was 350.000-390.000 MHz)
- 400.000-520.000 MHz

Check you interface cable and power cycle your radio.
