CHIRP

I have created the repeater frequency files with success.
Chirp seemed to open a different file than what I had selected.
Chirp complained about column numbers not being right.
Excel was always able to open the file properly and I saw nothing I could identify as wrong.
The original issue # is 1089.
The version of Chirp I have installed is "chirp-daily-20130802-installer".
The target radio is a Baofeng UV-5RA.
My HP laptop has Windows 8.
My XP machine loaded the file but some numbers were not inputting properly.
Example "1" would enter as "12" and a backspace would delete the "2".
I was able to create the file properly by overwriting the incorrect data in the file with my Windows 8 machine.
Now I can open the files properly with my Windows 8 laptop.
