Inability to Change Radio Image With RepeaterBook.com File
Added by Philip Dick over 8 years ago.
Updated about 4 years ago.
Model affected:
Baofeng BF-F8HP
I read the instructions above:
Description
I have a new Baofeng BF-F8HP. I am a novice HAM operator in training.
When I attempt to change the radio image with the RepeatorBook information, an error announcement appeares. It reads, "Error during Import. No attribute Power in Struct". Nothing happens. I tried disablng the anti-virus software, but it still happens. The error message comes from the CHIRP software and not Windows.
In a previous complaint similar to this about a year ago, Issue Report #2585, a non-answer was given that I can't see how it helped the person.
Is there something you can recommend?
Thank you.
I am guessing at the "Target Version" as 0.4.1. The CHIRP version was the "daily" version.

The file that you are trying to import probably isn't in the correct format for CHIRP to import. Attach the file the file that you are trying to import so it can be examined.

This is what I got off of the Repeaterbook.com website. I could find no way to isolate the file in question. It is emebeded such that it seems to be unaccessible.
Repeaterbook data exports has been certified by CHIRP, RT Systems, and G4HFQ. The recommended method for exporting the data is to use the corresponding Export menu option. This will create a file that you can import directly into the software.
The CHIRP and RT Systems software itself has an option to download directly from Repeaterbook.com.

Have you been able to resolve this on your own since you submitted this?
If you're trying to import a CSV from another source into Chirp, then that will fail. Chirp expects a very specific format.
