Description

I uploaded my channel assignments into CHIRP from my radio. Made many changes to the channel assignments since I am moving.

When I downloaded the new configuration, I couldn't hear anything -- including the weather channels. I noticed that recieving DCS on the HT was set to D-77I I changed the setting to 'off' and I could hear stations.

When I download the corrected configuration from the HT into Chirp, Chirp shows the name channel as 'ERROR' and it was greyed out with no infromation.

I forgot to state that the tone mode is set to (None) though it doesn't seem to matter since it is happening on all channels.

I was able to access the native Wouxun software and get a import the radio settings. It appears that there were a few issues. The first was that the WX stations had a transmit freq. defined. I deleted that and that all the stations had tone decoding turned on for receive. I deleted that. After uploading the revised settings to the radio, I was able to import the new settings into Chirp and then download them to the radio OK.

So not sure exactly what caused it to happen in the first place, but it appears that Chirp is not overwriting all the settings it should and it was also placing a transmit freq. in out of the range the radio allows. But that is just based on the symptoms I encountered.

Try this test driver.
I believe it corrects all the issues with the UV8D Tones.
