Description

UV82HP w/ firmware N82-33 / US235. September 06 daily.

1)TSQL set from dropdown reverts if frequency desired is 88.5. However Tone can be set with the same freq.

2) If set manually on the radio and stored, download shows TSQL as specified but offset shows as 5.001550 instead of 5.000000

3) Setting arguments: F 444.200, R-CTCS 88.5, T-CTCS 88.5, SSFT-D +, OFFSET 005.000. Channel works and hits the repeater.

4) Re-upload without touching anything succeeds, channel works.

5) Changing TSQL freq to 107.x, refreshing, changing back to 88.5 and re-uploading succeeds with TSQL, but Tx freq becomes 449.201 instead of 449.200.

6) Copying and pasting into another empty channel then uploading succeeds.

7) Adding another channel, same arguments, in chirp and refreshing sets TSQL to None at refresh <-- as expected.

8) Checked upload, same arguments given to chirp with TSQL set from dropdown, on F8HP w/ firmware N5R340B / F8HP-1 -- succeeds.

Correction to points 4) -- Tx freq is 449.2015 as would be expected from the offset shown after downloading the manually entered channel;

and 5) -- Tx freq becomes 449.2015, not 449.201. Sorry, just getting used to the radio display.

When selecting Tone, the CTCSS value is stored in the Tone column and the ToneSql column is unused.

This is a firmware problem in the radio. Don't use "reverse mode" to display the TX frequency. Key it in directly.

With Windows, after you select a CTCSS frequency by clicking with the mouse, you must either press [Enter] or click on another cell with the mouse to make the selection permanent.

7) Adding another channel, same arguments, in chirp and refreshing sets TSQL to None at refresh <-- as expected.

Don't forget to press [Enter] or click onto another cell to make the selection permanent.

The same driver programs both radios. If it works on one, it must work the same on the other.
