still only shows one line power on + 6 message
power on message is fine

Could you please give us the exact model name? Is it a Baofeng BF-F8+? Assuming this is right, I set the model information.
Also, I assume this is a request for an added feature, not a bug? I can change the target for this ticket back to bug if required.

BF-F8+
I have 2 of these units, both require separate .img files.
would be nice to have the power on + 6
ability back (have it on the many UV5Rs I've had)
The BF-F8+ s will show what looks like a hard coded value for Power On + 6
no changing it in CHirp affects what the radio shows.

I'm pretty sure it is the radio that no longer supports this feature. It is becoming more and more common that these radios with HN5RV01 firmware no longer reveal the AUX memory to CHIRP.
Attach a freshly downloaded CHIRP Radio Images (*.img) from each radio and attach them to this issue for review.
