CHIRP

You should install the CHIRP MacOS Unified Application which eliminates the need to install Python and the KK7DS Python Runtime. Without specifying other details like the Vendor, Model and Port selected and the exact error message, it is hard to help further.

CHIRP is not getting any data back from the radio. This is most likely a cable/driver issue. Be sure that the 2-pin plug is fully inserted into the socket. On some cables, the plastic shell of the plug contacts the walls of the socket which causes an interference that prevents the plug from being fully inserted.
