Description

Hi, I've used Chirp several years ago to program Rugged RM25R radios. I would like to change my channel list on some of these radios and can not seem to connect to them. Are they no longer supported?

To the best of my knowledge a supported radio model has never been withdrawn from CHIRP. If it was supported in the past, it should still be supported today. I don't ever recall seeing a Rugged RM25R model in the Supported Radio Models list so perhaps you programmed it choosing the Vendor/Model selections of an equivalent radio model. Do you have your saved CHIRP Radio Images (*.img) file.

  • Tracker changed from Bug to New Model
  • Subject changed from Rugged RM25R to Rugged Radios RM25R
  • Target version set to chirp-legacy
  • Equipment Loan/Gift Offered set to No

I also can't find evidence that this radio has ever been supported.
I converted this ticket into a New Model request.

Have you tried to use the QYT KT-8900 profile to program your RR RM25R? This appears to be the same Radio.

Rugged Radios also has the RM25R-WP (waterproof?) which appears to be the same as the TYT TH-8600, but that radio is not supported by Chirp as of now, from what I can tell.
