Bug #9437
closedUV-5R 8W / BF-F8HP Won't Import/Export Powers
0%
Description
I'm new at this, but I'll try to be as clear as possible.
Background:
I am running Chirp on Windows 7 Pro. I have a Greaval (rebranded Baofeng) UV-5R 8W, which has 3 power levels (High 8W, Med 4W, Low 1W). Downloading the phone's image into Chirp using the UV-5R profile seemed to "work," but I noticed that only High and Low power options were available in Chirp's Memories editing tab.
After searching online, I found a suggestion to use the BF-F8HP profile. Using that, Chirp now d/l's the image accurately, allows all three power levels and u/l's them back to the phone. All is good, there. (See attached PhoneImage_inChirp.jpg)
Problem:
I cannot import or export power levels (from/to CSV files).
I first tried to import a CSV file with a Power field. As a test, I took the provided stock NOAA Weather Alert CSV file and added a power field to the header and data lines. (See attached test.csv file) When I tried to import it, the column was missing altogether. (See attached PowerColumnMissing_inImportFromFile.jpg)
Thinking my guess at the Power column name was wrong, I then tried to export the already-loaded image, complete with power levels, hoping to see how the CSV file should look with powers specified. However, even here the Power column was missing. (See attached PowerColumnMissing_inExportToFile.jpg)
I've also attached my debug.log and chirp.config files.
