Description
Kenwood Commercial radios from series 60/60G can work off OEM limits into near ham bands, members of this family are:
Non G Handhelds:
TK-260 / TK-270 / TK-272 / TK-278 / TK-360 / TK-370 / TK-372 / TK-378
Non G Mobile/base
TK-760 / TK-762 / TK-768 / TK-860 / TK-862 / TK-868
G handhelds
TK-260G / TK-270G / TK-272G / TK-278G / TK-360G / TK-370G / TK-372G / TK-378G / TK-388G
G Mobile/base
TK-760G / TK-762G / TK-768G / TK-860G / TK-862G / TK-868G
Some of this model's variants are in ranges near but outside it's OEM stated range, for example from 150 to 174 Mhz, or 148 to 174 Mhz, in the case of the UHF we has the variants in the 450 to 490 Mhz or the 406 to 430 Mhz.
I make some characterizations and most of the radios can work with an +/- 4% of the stated range safely and will allow to work near ham bands. (real range is bigger but we stick to a safe value), so I will patch the drivers for this families (tk270.py, tk760.py, tk760g.py) to allow for this hack, beside you can check in the Settings Tabs the real OEM value for your radio model/variant.
