Description

Hello,

I'm a new CHIRP user as of today. I've been using it to begin programming my Baofeng UV-5R and it's been working wonderfully.

I dragged my Yaesu FT-2900R up from my car expecting I'd be able to start programming it, only to realize support isn't available yet for my model. I see a lot of Mac users out there who seem pretty desperate to be able to program their Yaesu (from what I can tell, there is no other radio programming software available yet for Mac that supports the FT-2900R).

Depending on how long it would take, I'd be more than willing to loan my radio to someone who can then develop support. If I knew a lick about programming I'd get on it myself...

Attached is the img of my Yaesu. Not sure if it can help with anything in anyway. I RXd it from my FT-2900R by telling CHIRP to receive from an FT-1802M, then pressing the transmit button on the radio immediately after pressing OK in CHIRP. I can TX an img to my radio using the same method, but if it's been modified from the attached image, it causes the radio to spaz out in memory mode requiring a physical power disconnection and cloning again with the correct img.
