There is a possible solution (a firmware upgrade) suggested in #7839; please check and see whether it helps.

#7839 is referencing the FT-450D model. The FT-450D firmware will not work on a non-D model.

As the originator of the FT-450D driver, I would love to add non-D model support. However, nobody in my local area has one to borrow. If Tony is willing to do some USB capture with the Yaesu PCC-450 software then we could try it.

Since the radio has CAT support, I could also try to make a live-mode driver version. That would allow memory channel edits.

Should this be considered closed with the recent add of FT450 clone support to the FT450d.py module?
